Though “Picard” and “Star Trek: Discovery” are coming to an end, Paramount+ is far from done with the franchise.

The streamer has officially ordered new seasons of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” and adult animated comedy “Star Trek: Lower Decks” with the pair getting ten-episode orders each.

That takes them through to respective third and fifth seasons to likely air in 2024. The news comes as the streamer also revealed the premiere windows for new seasons of both shows.

The second season of “Star Trek: Strange New Worlds” will arrive on June 15th, whilst the fourth season of “Star Trek: Lower Decks” will arrive sometime in the late Summer – likely after ‘Worlds’ has wrapped airing its run.

A second season of the animated kids-skewing “Star Trek: Prodigy” is also set to premiere in 2023. The order essentially fills out Paramount’s “Star Trek” schedule through to end of 2024. No word as yet on on anything beyond that though.

The other week producer Akiva Goldsman hinted that filming on the third season of ‘Strange New Worlds’ was about to get underway. Reviews for both renewed series have been amongst the strongest of the franchise since its revival.
