Timed with “Star Trek” day celebrations, Paramount+ has announced a February 16th 2023 premiere date for the third and final season of “Star Trek: Picard”.
The ten-episode run airs weekly on Thursdays, and the new season sees the return of the full TNG cast for the first time since “Star Trek: Nemesis” back in 2002.
The new season begins when a haunting message from Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden) calls out for Picard’s help. Picard must call upon old crew mates Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Troi (Marina Sirtis), Worf (Michael Dorn), and Geordi LaForge (LeVar Burton) for help once more.
Jeri Ryan returns as Seven of Nine, as does Michelle Hurd as Raffi, while Brent Spiner and Denise Crosby are also back but it’s not clear in what form. McFadden has previously indicated the season will deal with the unresolved romantic tension still hanging in the air between Picard and Crusher.
