Sylvester Stallone has confirmed in an Instagram post that he’s returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3”.
Sly posted a behind-the-scenes video offering a look at elaborate scanners being used to map his face for duplication on screen. Stallone says he’ll pull off a range of facial expressions which are used to duplicate his face if he’s not around.
Stallone appeared in the previous ‘Guardians’ film as Stakar Ogord/Starhawk, a ship captain at odds with Yondu (Michael Rooker). He’s been busy lately promoting the recent director’s cut of “Rocky IV” which contains 40 minutes of unseen footage.
Filming on “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” is underway ahead of a 2023 release.
