Sony Pictures’ “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has reportedly passed the $760.5 million domestic take of James Cameron’s 2009 sci-fi spectacle “Avatar”.

That makes it the third highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office with an estimated running total of $760.9 million in 60 days of release at the box office. “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has held the top spot at the domestic box office for six out of its nine weekends of release.

“Avatar” didn’t reach its domestic tally until after roughly nine months of release and with an additional 2010 re-release. However, it remains the global box office king with $2.84 billion while “Spider-Man: No Way Home” is down in sixth place with $1.8 billion.

“Spider-Man” isn’t expected to beat the top two movies at the all-time domestic box office – 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ($936.6M) and “Avengers: Endgame” ($858.3M) as the film’s earnings have slowed down enough its final tally is expected to sit around $785 million.

Tom Holland will likely be back on top of the box-office though this weekend with the “Uncharted” film adaptation reportedly heading for a $30-35 million opening weekend.
