Sony Pictures has shared one of the shortest teasers ever made – a three-shot, eight-second clip teasing Tom Holland’s new Spider-Man outfit for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.
The costume does seem to be different and more advanced than the more home-made outfit glimpsed in the finale of “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
The tease marks the start of the first day of filming on the fourth solo Tom Holland-led “Spider-Man” film, which is expected to serve as something of a minor reboot of the franchise.
Shooting is taking place on location in Glasgow ahead of the main shoot at Pinewood Studios in England.
Destin Daniel Cretton directs the film from a screenplay written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also expected to return, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas also star. At the same time, Jon Bernthal reprises his Frank Castle/Punisher role from “Daredevil: Born Again”.
A big action sequence is being shot across multiple city streets in Scotland, and according to scooper DanielRPK, it involves Punisher and Spider-Man fighting over a DODC (Department of Damage Control) transport convoy.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is slated to arrive in theatres on July 31st 2026.
