“South Park” ‘Got a Nut’ Episode Reruns Pulled

Paramount

Paramount has reportedly removed the “South Park” episode “Got a Nut” from reruns on Comedy Central, though the episode remains available on the Paramount+ streaming service reports Deadline.

The removal comes in the wake of the assassination on Wednesday of 31-year-old U.S. right-wing political activist and media personality Charlie Kirk. A manhunt for Kirk’s killer is underway.

“Got a Nut” is the second episode of the currently airing 27th season of the series and first premiered back on August 6th.

The episode parodied U.S. President Donald Trump’s ICE raids and had a subplot in which Clyde Donovan and Eric Cartman become right-wing podcasters.

Kirk himself reportedly told Fox News last month that he deems the episode a ‘badge of honor’ and even briefly changed his YouTube profile pic to South Park‘s Eric Cartman in the episode as an homage.

Sources for the trade say the episode pulling is “only temporary” until the political temperature comes down. “South Park” returns with a new episode on September 23rd
