Sony’s PlayStation ‘State of Play’ event came and went this morning with little fanfare as the piece focused solely on PS4 and PSVR games with very few announcements.
The biggest news is that the three-episode “Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series” is coming to PlayStation VR later this month in a single edition to be released on August 25th for $29.99.
Next comes word that that IO’s “Hitman 3,” including all the previous levels across the entire reboot ‘World of Assassination’ trilogy, will be fully playable in PSVR in time for the third game’s launch in January 2021.
Alan Wake returns. “Control: AWE,” the second expansion pack for Remedy’s acclaimed “Control,” arrives August 27th and features a glimpse of the character from Remedy’s earlier game – confirming a suspected crossover.
Also announced – The fourth “Crash Bandicoot” is coming October 2nd, “Braid” will be getting a remastered version arriving early 2021, “Spleunky 2” arrives September 15th this year, and the Britain’s Dark Ages-set 4v4 multiplayer heist game “Hood: Outlaws and Legends” has been announced for the PS5.
