Following a social media slip suggesting it was happening a while back, Sony Interactive Entertainment has now made it official and revealed that they have acquired developer Bluepoint Games.
Founded in 2006, Bluepoint Games has been famous for its quality remasters and ports of celebrated titles including “Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection” and “Shadow of the Colossus” for PS4, “Titanfall” and “Metal Gear Solid HD Collection” for Xbox, and last year’s acclaimed PS5 remake of “Demon’s Souls”.
As part of the announcement confirming Bluepoint Games is now a first-party Sony studio, it has been revealed the company’s next game won’t be a remake – rather an original title. However, no further specifics were forthcoming.
