Sony Pictures has announced a number of release dates on its schedule including a December 23rd 2022 date for is upcoming Whitney Houston biopic “I Wanna Dance With Somebody”. that film will star Naomi Ackie and be directed by Kasi Lemmons.

Also snagging a new date is the children’s book adaptation “Lyle, Lyle Crocodile” which has been pushed four months to November 18th 2022. Javier Bardem and Winslow Fegley star.

Then there’s Amy Koppelman’s adaptation of the novel “A Mouthful of Air” about a children’s book author haunted by a dark secret. Amanda Seyfried, Finn Wittrock, Amy Irving and Paul Giamatti star in the movie which will arrive on October 29th 2022.

Next comes the untitled biopic about the life of heavyweight champion George Foreman which has set a September 16th 2022 release.

Finally, a January 27th 2023 release has been set for the Zachary Levi-led “Harold and the Purple Crayon” based on the classic 1955 Crockett Johnson story. David Guion and Michael Handelman pen the script.
