Sony Classics Resets Its Release Schedule

Sony Pictures Classics has tweaked its release schedule. First up there’s the documentary “The Human Factor,” which opened last month in L.A. and New York, which will now go nationwide in theaters on May 7th.

The Michelle Pfeiffer-Lucas Hodges-led “French Exit” will now open in Los Angeles and New York on February 12th and go nationwide on April 2nd.

The Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman-led “The Father” remains set to release February 26th in theaters in New York and L.A., but will now expand wide on March 12th before coming to PVOD starting March 26th.

Michael Dweck and Gregory Kershaw’s documentary “The Truffle Hunters” will hit New York and L.A. theaters on March 5th followed by a gradual U.S. rollout.

Finally, Heidi Ewing’s “I Carry You with Me” will open in New York and Los Angeles theaters on May 21st then expand the following weekend for Memorial Day.
