Sony’s acquisition spree continues this week with PlayStation Studios reportedly snagging Netherlands-based Nixxes Software to be a part of the PlayStation family.

Nixxes is a developer famed not for developing games but rather improving and translating titles. Namely, it’s known for its PC ports and optimizations of numerous Square Enix titles including the recent “Tomb Raider” reboot trilogy along with “Deus Ex: Mankind Divided” and “Marvel’s Avengers”.

The hiring is seen as a move by Sony to step up its efforts into porting more PlayStation exclusive titles over to PC in the wake of several titles making a successful leap including first-party ones like “Horizon Zero Dawn” and “Days Gone” and Sony funded indie titles like “Journey,” “Death Stranding,” “Heavy Rain,” “Detroit: Become Human” and “Nioh”.

“Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” has already been announced as the next major PS-exclusive to make the jump. A PC port of “Ghost of Tsushima” has been rumored but Sony has not officially announced any such version.
