Paramount Pictures has released the first poster for “Sonic the Hedgehog 2” whilst also confirming the first trailer for the new film is expected to air during The Game Awards – specifically at 8pm US-ET.
The poster follows hot on the heels of the news that Colleen O’Shaughnessey, longtime voice of Sonic the Hedgehog’s sidekick Tails in the games, will voice the character in the upcoming film.
She joins Ben Schwartz reprising the voice of Sonic which he played in the first film, and Idris Elba lending his voice to the character of Knuckles.
Jim Carrey also returns as Dr. Ivo ‘Eggman’ Robotnik who, having been driven more insane after being stranded on the mushroom planet for nearly three months, vows revenge on Sonic.
James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally, Shemar Moore, Lee Majdoub also star and the film which is scheduled for release in cinemas on April 8th.
