Timed with Netflix’s Geeked Week presentation, filmmaker Zack Snyder has offered a first look at his “Star Wars”-inspired sci-fi feature “Rebel Moon” with a brief clip from a make-up test of a character in the film.
The potential franchise launcher is set in a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius.
They dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighbouring planets to help them take a stand against the Tyrant.
Sofia Boutella, Ed Skrein, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Alfonso Herrera, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee and Rihian Rees star.
Snyder is directing from the script he wrote with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. Snyder, Deborah Snyder, Eric Newman and Wesley Coller are producing.
