Snyder’s “Rebel Moon” Gets New Titles

Ahead of the official first trailer premiere tomorrow at Gamescom, the official titles have been released for Zack Snyder’s two-part sci-fi epic “Rebel Moon”.

What’s On Netflix has revealed the news, indicating the first instalment is titled “Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire” and arrives on December 22nd 2023.

The second instalment is reportedly expected to be titled “Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver” and is eyeing a 2024 release.

The series is set around a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy that is threatened by the armies of a tyrannical regent named Balisarius.

The desperate civilians dispatch Kora, a young woman who has a mysterious past, to seek out warriors from nearby planets to help them challenge the regent.

The cast includes Sofia Boutella as Kora, Ed Skrein as Admiral Atticus Noble, Charlie Hunnam as Kai, Michiel Huisman as Gunnar, Djimon Hounsou as General, Staz Nair as Tarak, Doona Bae as Nemesis, Ray Fisher as Darrian Bloodaxe, and newcomer E. Duffy as Milius, and Anthony Hopkins as the voice of an ancient robot knight named Jimmy.

Snyder directs from a screenplay he is co-writing with Shay Hatten and Kurt Johnstad. Both films were well into post-production by the time the strikes began and the first isn’t expected to be moved from its planned release.
