Apple TV+ has premiered the official trailer for the fifth season of its highly acclaimed, darkly comedic espionage drama-thriller series “Slow Horses” which returns on September 24th.
The new episodes are based on the fifth novel in the series, “London Rules.” It will begin with two episodes airing that day followed by a weekly rollout through to the finale on October 22nd.
In the fifth season, everyone is suspicious when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected.
The usual suspects return including Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb, Jack Lowden as River Cartwright, Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner, Saskia Reeves as Catherine Standish, Christopher Chung as Roddy Ho, James Callis as Claude Whelan, Ruth Bradley as Emma Flyte, Rosalind Eleazar as Louisa Guy, Tom Brooke as J.K. Coe, Aimee-Ffion Edwards as Shirley Dander, Joanna Scanlan as Moira Tregorian, and Jonathan Pryce as David Cartwright.
Will Smith (the other one), Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Julian Stevens, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux and Graham Yost executive produce. The show has already wrapped filming on a sixth season and begins filming a seventh in the next few weeks.
The series is also a contender at this year’s Emmys with the title up for Outstanding Drama Series alongside “Andor,” “The Diplomat,” “The Last of Us,” “Paradise,” “The Pitt,” “Severance,” “Slow Horses,” and “The White Lotus”.
