Six new character posters for “Star Wars: Ahsoka” have been released, all of them showing off some of the core characters from the upcoming Disney+ series.
There are three for heroes returning from “Star Wars: Rebels” – namely Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren. There are also three for the villains Ray Stevenson’s Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno’s Shin Hati, and Diana Lee Inosanto’s Morgan Elsbeth.
Set after her appearances in “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” the series follows Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) as she investigates an emerging threat to the galaxy following the fall of the Empire.
The show serves as a live-action continuation to the animated series “Star Wars Rebels,” though that series is not required viewing prior to watching. The new series was developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni for Disney+.
The cast also includes Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger, Wes Chatham as Captain Enoch, David Tennant as the voice of Huyang, Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker.
Dave Filoni wrote all eight episodes while also directing further episodes with Peter Ramsey, Steph Green, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa also directing.
The series is set to launch on the Disney+ service on August 23rd.
