It has been a surprisingly busy morning on the “Silent Hill” franchise front.
First up, reviews are now in for this week’s release of the Japan-set “Silent Hill f” video game and the verdict is excellent. On Metacritic, the game stands at an 85/100 from 69 critics reviews.
That puts it as one of the best of the series, on par with the original “Silent Hill 3” (85) and just one point shy of the recent “Silent Hill 2” remake and the original “Silent Hill,” both on 86/100. Only the original “Silent Hill 2” sits higher at 89/100. All the others are much further down the list in the 70s or below.
Many of the reviews are calling it a major return to form and the best entry in the series since those earliest originals. The game arrives in stores on Friday September 25th.
Also today, a new poster has been revealed for the “Return to Silent Hill” film due out in January next year. That film is heavily based on the original “Silent Hill 2” game and stars the likes of Jeremy Irvine, Robert Strange, Evie Templeton, and Eve Macklin.
Someone is always looking back in RETURN TO SILENT HILL.
