Shyamalan’s “Glass” Gets A Synopsis

Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan’s “Glass,” the sequel to both his films “Split” and “Unbreakable,” is scheduled to begin filming next month and now Universal has released a new official synopsis which hints at where the storyline of the follow-up will go.

We know Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson is back as Elijah Price, James McAvoy will return as Kevin Wendell Crumb and Anya Taylor-Joy is back as Casey Cooke. We also know Sarah Paulson has a role. Here’s the synopsis:

Following the conclusion of Split, Glass finds Dunn pursuing Crumb’s superhuman figure of The Beast in a series of escalating encounters, while the shadowy presence of Price emerges as an orchestrator who holds secrets critical to both men. This riveting culmination of his worldwide blockbusters will be produced by Shyamalan and Jason Blum.

That pretty much confirms this will not be a cinematic universe franchise builder, but rather an unexpected trilogy capper. “Glass” is slated to open January 19th 2019.
