Showtime has premiered the official trailer for the series adaptation of “The Man Who Fell to Earth” based on both the Walter Tevis novel and its famed 1976 film adaptation starring David Bowie.
This follows a new alien character named Faraday (Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future.
Harris will play Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds.
Jimmi Simpson, Rob Delaney, Sonya Cassidy, Joana Ribeiro, Annelle Olaleye, Kate Mulgrew, and Clarke Peters co-star while Bill Nighy will take on Bowie’s original role of Thomas Jerome Newton – the first alien who came to Earth and who Faraday to help him finish his mission.
Alex Kurtzman, Jenny Lumet, John Hlavin, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Rola Bauer, Francoise Guyonnet and Ejiofor executive produce. The first two episodes premiere Sunday, April 24th with new episodes to be released weekly every Sunday.
