Kiernan Shipka is officially set to reprise her role of Sabrina Spellman from Netflix’s cancelled “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” in a major crossover event with The CW’s “Riverdale”.
Both series are based on Archie Comics characters with the “Sabrina” series frequently making references to Riverdale in its universe. Now showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has confirmed the crossover to EW, saying he’s thrilled this is finally happening as “part of our ‘Rivervale’ special event.”
Sabrina pops up in the sixth season’s fourth episode “The Witching Hour(s)”. In the episode, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) is performing a dangerous spell which could mean the difference between life and death for one of the Blossoms. She gets assistance from Sabrina who is visiting from Greendale.
