ABC is set to premiere the sixth season of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” a little earlier than expected. The network will reportedly move up the show’s premiere from July to May, the episodes now arriving shortly after the release of “Avengers: Endgame”.
The sixth season jumps a year ahead and finds the team operating in a post-Phil Coulson environment. Half are under the supervision of Director Mack helping to deal with threats on Earth, the other half in deep space searching for cryo-frozen Fitz.
The arrival of a mysterious foe wearing Coulson’s face will be one of the big storylines of the season.
Meanwhile, Freeform has dropped the very short first teaser trailer for the second season of “Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger” which premieres in April. The clip teases the arrival of Mayhem in the new season after Detective O’Reilly was killed and transformed in the first season finale.
