More photos from Robert Rodriguez’s family superhero movie “We Can Be Heroes” have been released, these ones showing the titular characters from 2005’s “The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl” returning and are now parents.
Vivien Lyra Blair (“Bird Box”) plays the daughter of the pair who are being played by different actors (“Twilight” alum Taylor Lautner played Sharkboy in the original). In the film, alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes and their children must team up and learn to work together if they want to save their parents and the world.
Pedro Pascal, Boyd Holbrook, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christian Slater, Christopher McDonald, Adriana Barraza, Sung Kang, Akira Akbar, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Nathan Blair, Lyon Daniels, Lotus Blossom, Hala Finley, Andy Walken, Dylan Henry Lau, Andrew Diaz, Taylor Dooley, Haley Reinhart, Brittany Perry-Russell and Brently Heilbron co-star.
The film scores a global launch on Netflix on January 1st 2021.
