Seven more have joined the growing cast of “House of the Dragon,” the upcoming “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off series set three centuries earlier.
Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Graham McTavish, Matthew Needham, Bill Paterson, and Gavin Spokes have all joined the already cast Paddy Considine, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, and Rhys Ifans.
Corr plays Ser Harwin ‘Breakbones’ Strong, said to be the strongest man in the Seven Kingdoms and heir to Harrenhal.
Hall plays the dual roles of Lord Jason Lannister and his twin Ser Tyland Lannister. Jason is the Lord of Casterly Rock and Tyland a calculating politician.
Horovitch is King Viserys’ adisor Grand Maester Mellos. McTavish is Ser Harrold Westerling, a paragon of chivalry and honor in the Kingsguard.
Spokes is Lord Lyonel Strong, Master of Laws to King Viserys and Lord of Harrenhal. Needham is Larys Strong, Lionel’s younger son.
Finally, Paterson is Lord Lyman Beesbury – Lord of Honeyholt and Master of Coin on King Viserys’ small council.
The ten-episode series is based on George R.R. Martin’s book “Fire & Blood” and follows House Targaryen and the Targaryen civil war that became known as the ‘Dance of Dragons’.
Miguel Sapochnik and Ryan Condal will serve as co-showrunners and will executive produce with Martin and Vince Gerardis.
