Set Photos: Nic Cage Films “Massive Talent”

Set photos are out from the Croatian set “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent,” actor Nicolas Cage’s new film in which he plays a version of himself.

Boasting a bright pink leather jacket that would make Angelyne proud, one with a large Superman symbol on the back in reference to his failed “Superman Lives” project, Cage is seen between scenes on the shoot while co-star Pedro Pascal can also be glimpsed alongside him in other shots from filming that has been taking place over the past week.

The story follows a fictionalized version of Cage, who must accept a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a super fan and billionaire, who also happens to be a criminal kingpin (Pascal). When things take a wildly dangerous turn, Cage is forced to live up to his own legend, channeling his most iconic and beloved on-screen characters in order to save himself and his loved ones.

Cage has previously said the experience will be like “walking through a Cabinet of Dr. Caligari version of ‘Con Air’ and ‘Face/Off'”. Tom Gormican helms the film which he co-wrote with Kevin Etten. The film is currently slated for a March 19th 2021 release.
