We’ve seen the kids, Hagrid, the Weasleys, and a few others, but now set photos from HBO’s upcoming “Harry Potter” TV serie reboot has revealed a first look at one of the major players.
Wizarding World has posted the first photos of John Lithgow in full make-up and costume as Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore. Lithgow was cast in the role back in February this year.
Reactions to the photos so far have been mostly pretty good, if a little confused, as the first book featured no scenes with Dumbledore standing on a beach.
Filming on this new incarnation has been underway for three months already in the UK with these shots taken down in Cornwall. Filming also has taken place in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
Richard Harris, Michael Gambon and Jude Law all played the character in previous films in the franchise. Francesca Gardiner is the head writer and showrunner on the series which will premiere on HBO in 2027.
