Following on from the confirmation that Krysten Ritter will reprise her Jessica Jones role for the second season of “Daredevil: Born Again,” the actress has been spotted filming scenes back in character.
Returning to the role six years after her own series wrapped its third and final season run on Netflix, Ritter was seen shooting scenes alongside co-star Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock.
While Cox’s Daredevil is now wearing a black costume with red “DD” chest logo, Ritter’s Jones is still in her trademark blue jeans and black leather jacket all this time later.
As part of the announcement the other day, Ritter teased “there is much more in store for Jessica Jones” which hopefully means this will go beyond her work here. Shooting on the eight-episode new season began in February and is expected to continue in New York through into July.
The new season will pick up after Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) has declared martial law with the help of his anti-vigilante task force.
Daredevil was seen assembling a team of his own to fight back, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can recruit Jones to his cause. Mike Colter and Finn Jones, who played Luke Cage and Danny Rand respectively, are both in New York presently which has only fueled speculation about a full “The Defenders” return.
