Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Zendaya are back filming Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” in Scotland with the trio photographed on set on Monday.
Damon was seen in full costume, complete with long sage-colored cape, while the currently engaged Holland and Zendaya arrived in regular clothes. The trio were all photographed together back in March in Italy shooting scenes in costume.
The production has spanned seven countries with scenes shot in the U.S., U.K., Italy, Ireland, Morocco, Greece, and Iceland.
Homer’s 8th-century BC poem recounts the ten-year journey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, as he travels home after the Trojan War. He and his crew encounter many perils, including massive monsters, lethal sirens, a sorceress and the vengeful god of the sea. Meanwhile, Odysseus’s wife and grown son must contend with aggressive suitors who have designs on the throne.
Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Cosmo Jarvis, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, Mia Goth, Samantha Morton, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, Corey Hawkins, Bill Irwin, Jesse Garcia, Will Yun Lee, Nick Tarabay, Jimmy Gonzales, and Maurice Compte co-star in the film.
“The Odyssey” opens in cinemas on July 17th 2026 with tickets for IMAX 70mm sessions rumored to be going on sale as early as this Thursday.
