Netflix has released the full trailer for “Away,” the Hilary Swank-led Martian astronaut drama series premiering on the service on Friday September 4th.
Swank plays Emma Green, an American astronaut and former Navy pilot preparing to lead an international crew on the first mission to Mars. As she does so she must reconcile her decision to leave behind her NASA engineer husband (Josh Charles) and teenage daughter (Talitha Bateman) when they need her the most.
As the crew’s journey into space intensifies, their personal dynamics and the effects of being away from their loved ones back on Earth become increasingly complex. Mark Ivanir, Ato Essandoh, Ray Panthaki, Vivian Wu, and Monique Curnen co-star.
The project hails from creator Andrew Hinderaker, showrunner Jessica Goldberg and a whole swath of executive producer alums like Swank, Jason Katims, Matt Reeves, Edward Zwick, Adam Kassan and Jeni Mulein.
