“Jessica Jones” and “Breaking Bad” star Krysten Ritter returns to television as AMC Networks has released the first trailer for the original series “Orphan Black: Echoes”.
Premiering Thursday at New York Comic Con, the clip shows off the series which takes place within the same universe as the original clone-centric sci-fi series “Orphan Black”. That show won great acclaim and awards for actress Tatiana Maslany (“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” “Perry Mason”).
Set in the near future, “Orphan Black: Echoes” takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence.
It follows a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on a thrilling journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.
Avan Jogia, Keeley Hawes, Amanda Fix, Rya Kihlstedt, Hiroyuki Liao and Reed Diamond co-star in the series which is being executive produced by Krysten Ritter.
Anna Fishko (“Fear the Walking Dead”) is creator, writer, showrunner and executive producer of the new series alongside original “Orphan Black” co-creator John Fawcett.
David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Nick Nantell, and Kerry Appleyard also executive produce.
“Orphan Black: Echoes” debuts on AMC, AMC+ and BBC America in 2024.
