As part of the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards broadcast, Netflix unveiled the first look at Ava DuVernay’s new limited series “Colin In Black & White”.
The six-episode drama series explores former San Francisco 49ers football star and activist Colin Kaepernick’s coming-of-age as the Black adopted child of a white family in Central California.
In 2016, Kaepernick knelt during the U.S. national anthem to protest police violence and racial injustice in that country and sparked a firestorm of discussion.
In the Netflix series, Jaden Michael plays the young Colin alongside Nick Offerman and Mary-Louise Parker as his adoptive parents. Amarr Wooten, Mace Coronel, and Klarke Pipkin co-star.
“Colin in Black & White” arrives on the service on October 29th.
