Seinfeld Teases Possible New “Seinfeld”

NBC

Over 25 years after the finale of “Seinfeld” aired, rumors the series will join the ranks of those shows getting modern-day revivals have caught afire this weekend.

Talking with a Boston audience on Saturday night as part of a stand-up set, star Jerry Seinfeld was asked if he liked the ending of his series.

The series’ final episode received backlash upon airing and Seinfeld himself has discussed his regret about it in the years after.

On the weekend though, he revealed he has a little secret about the finale. A video of the comments is up on Twitter:

“Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet. Just what you are thinking about, Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So, you’ll see.”

It wouldn’t be that out of the question. In 2009 the four core starts of the seres – Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards – reunited for a multi-episode arc of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.

In 2018, Seinfeld told Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that a revival was possible. However the vagueness of the comments could suggest something else, from a one-off reunion special to another “Curb”-style team-up appearance. For now it’s wait and see.
