A second trailer has premiered for “The Favorite” and “Poor Things” director Yorgos Lanthimos’ new eccentric black comedy feature “Bugonia”.
The story follows two conspiracy-obsessed young men who kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.
Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone star while Will Tracy (“The Menu”) pens the script.
The project is an English-language remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s 2003 South Korean film “Save the Green Planet!”.
It also marks the latest re-teaming of Stone and Lanthimos following multiple collaborations, most recently with “Kinds of Kindness”.
Lathimos, Ed Guiney, Andrew Lowe, Ari Aster, Lars Knudsen, Miky Lee and Jerry Kyoungboum Ko produce the film which opens in cinemas October 24th.
