Amazon Prime has released the official full trailer for “Avengers: Endgame” directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s big-budget ensemble spy thriller series “Citadel”.
Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville lead the cast of the six-episode series, which is generating local language satellite series spinoffs in India, Italy and Mexico that will see local stars in key roles. The main series was shot in Atlanta, London, Morocco, and Valencia.
Eight years ago, Citadel fell. The independent global spy agency was destroyed by operatives of Manticore, a powerful yet covert syndicate.
With Citadel’s fall, elite agents Mason Kane (Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Jonas) had their memories wiped as they narrowly escaped with their lives. The pair has remained hidden ever since, building new lives under new identities, unaware of their pasts.
Then one night, Mason is tracked down by his former Citadel colleague Bernard Orlick (Tucci) who desperately needs his help to prevent Manticore from establishing a new world order.
Mason seeks out his former partner, Nadia, and the two spies embark on a mission that takes them around the world in an effort to stop Manticore, all while contending with a relationship built on secrets, lies, and love.
David Weil set as the showrunner, and the new trailer comes ahead of the show’s launch with two episodes on April 28th.
