Second Trailer: Colman Domingo Is “Rustin”

Netflix

Netflix has premiered the full-length trailer for the Colman Domingo-led biopic “Rustin” which opens in select theaters on November 3rd and then premieres globally on Netflix on November 17th.

Rustin was a major, but often overlooked, figure in the U.S. civil rights movement and the key architect of Martin Luther King Jr.’s momentous March on Washington in 1963.

At the same time, he spent decades of his life working to end racial discrimination in the workplace. However, he was also an out gay man, forced by others to work behind the scenes as they feared his sexuality could undermine civil rights progress.

Many of his achievements have been lost to widely known history… until now. The film is being directed by DGA Award and five-time Tony Award winner George C. Wolfe and stars Emmy winner Domingo.

Joining him are Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, Gus Halper, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Johnny Ramey, Michael Potts, with Jeffrey Wright and Audra McDonald.

Wolfe, Bruce Cohen and Tonia Davis produce.
