Following A24 dropping the first teaser trailer the other week, Apple TV+ has now released the second for Joel Coen’s highly acclaimed new film “The Tragedy of Macbeth”.
A black-and-white new adaptation of the classic William Shakespeare play, Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand play an older than usual version Lord and Lady Macbeth who engage in a murderous plot for power over Scotland – the scheme ultimately seeing them descend into madness.
The cast also includes Corey Hawkins as Macduff, Moses Ingram as Lady Macduff, Brendan Gleeson as King Duncan, Harry Melling as Malcolm and Ralph Ineson. The project marks Joel Coen’s solo directorial debut.
The film will hit cinemas on Christmas Day followed by a January 14th release on the Apple TV+ service.
