Appearing at the TCA panel over the weekend to promote the new series “Believe,” filmmaker J.J. Abrams has confirmed that his and Lawrence Kasdan’s screenplay for “Star Wars: Episode VII” is complete.
He tells The Wrap: “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y’know?”
Abrams also confirmed that “Breaking Bad” star Jesse Plemons has auditioned for a role in the film, but wouldn’t go into any further detail about whether Plemons actually scored the role.
He adds that a lot more is going on behind the scenes than makes it into the news.
