Scott, Day Exit “Batwoman” Series

Scott Day Exit Batwoman Series
The CW

Dougray Scott and Wallis Day have officially exited The CW’s “Batwoman” after two seasons.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR “BATWOMAN” 2×18.

Scott’s character of Jacob Kane, the father of first season lead character Kate Kane (Ruby Rose), was the head of the private security agency The Crows in the series.

The character was arrested in the sixteenth episode “Rebirth” for helping his daughter Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and was being transferred to Metropolis to await trial.

He also turned whistleblower on The Crows’ many abuses of power – an action that led to the group being disbanded with crime lord Black Mask absorbing its most corrupt members into his organisation.

Jacob’s final appearance as a series regular was on June 13th, two weeks out from last night’s season finale. Showrunner Caroline Dries has confirmed Scott’s exit, saying the character’s story has run its course.

In addition, the surgically altered character of Kate Kane, played by Wallis Day in the second season, has also exited the series. The character departed the show in last night’s finale off in search of her cousin Bruce Wayne.

Dries was asked if there were plans for Kate to return, and it seems not at present: “I would never say never because you never know, but for now, that was our farewell to Kate.”
