As we know, Warner Bros. Discovery pulled the plug on any release plans for its $40 million feature “Scoob!: Holiday Haunt” – a prequel to the 2020 Scooby-Doo animated film “Scoob!”.
We also know the film wasn’t that far away from completion, and now the project’s producer Tony Cervone has revealed that the production is still going ahead with recording the film’s score.
On the weekend, Cervone shared a photo of the team working in a recording studio on Instagram, saying: “So what do you do when the movie is canceled, but you’ve already paid for the stage and the musicians? You record the damn score!”
The recording of a score for a film that will not be released is… odd. Dara Taylor (“Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar”) has been credited as composer on the film, which was originally slated for a December 22nd premiere and is now being dumped as a tax write-off.
