Daytime Emmy nominee Sasha Calle (“Young and the Restless”) has beaten out over 400 other actresses to score the role of Supergirl in the new “The Flash” feature film at Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Films.
“The Flash” director Andy Muschietti watched all the auditions and were said to be blown away by Calle who also did a chemistry read with actor Ezra Miller who is reprising his role of Barry Allen/The Flash for the currently in production feature.
has scored the feature role of DC Universe’s new Supergirl. The Boston born-Colombian actress is also the first Latina Supergirl ever in DC. Calle will join the production shortly.
Helen Slater played the role in the 1984 film, whilst Melissa Benoist has starred as Supergirl for CBS and The CW.
