YouTube Red has announced that production has wrapped on their original feature “Vulture Club” and revealed that the film has been co-written and directed by Iranian-American filmmaker Maryam Keshavarz (“Circumstance”) and stars Oscar winner Susan Sarandon alongside the likes of Edie Falco and Matt Bomer.
Sarandon plays a veteran emergency room nurse who is secretly working to free her journalist son from a terrorist group that has captured him.
The streaming company is reportedly so happy with the film they’re giving it a small theatrical run in hopes of garnering some awards consideration. Anna Gerb, Neal Dodson, and J.C. Chandor are producing the project.
