Neil Gaiman has confirmed (via Tumblr) that principal photography on the first season of Netflix’s “The Sandman” series has officially finished.

As it’s a series that’s likely to require extensive post-production work, Gaiman says there’s no word on a potential release date or trailer. However, it’s incredibly likely both won’t arrive until sometime well into 2022.

Said to be the most expensive TV series to date based on a DC Comics property, the series sees Tom Sturridge taking on the lead role of Dream/Morpheus alongside Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer, Kirby Howell-Baptiste as Death, Patton Oswalt as Matthew the Raven, Boyd Holbrook as The Corinthian, Charles Dance as Roderick Burgess, Jenna Coleman as Johanna Constantine and Vivienne Acheampong as Lucienne among many others.

That’s not all today though. Director Adam Shankman has used Instagram to confirm that production on “Disenchanted,” the long-awaited sequel to Disney 2007 fantasy comedy “Enchanted,” has completed filming.

The Amy Adams-led project, which closed out with two months of filming in Ireland, is currently slated to make its debut in 2022. The story will reportedly follow Giselle (Adams) and her family rushing to save the Kingdom of Andalsia from Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph) after their fairytale life in the suburbs goes awry.
