Following rumors of it the other week, EW has now confirmed that “Uncut Gems” star Adam Sandler and directors Josh and Benny Safdie will reunite for the Safdie’s next unannounced project.

Sandler spoke with the outlet this week and confirmed he’s “going to do another movie with the Safdie brothers” but couldn’t go into further details. He did go on to praise the pair:

“They’re working hard on it. Their work ethic is bananas. They’re always working, always writing, always thinking. I don’t know what I can tell you, but it’s gonna be very exciting. It’s different. But I don’t want them to ever say, ‘What the hell did you tell him that for?’ So I’ll just let them talk [about it].”

Sandler starred in the 2019 film as motormouth New York City jeweler and compulsive gambler Howard Ratner. He won the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead for his work in the film which became A24’s highest-grossing film domestically with $50 million. It also made many critics end of year lists.

The Safdies also helmed the highly acclaimed “Good Time” starring Robert Pattinson.
