Ryan Reynolds & “Shazam” Director Poke Fun

Ryan Reynolds has a message for partying Canadian teens who aren’t practicing social distancing: Don’t kill anyone, especially not his mom.

John Horgan, the Premier of British Columbia in Canada, recently asked local-born stars Ryan Reynolds and Seth Rogen to help spread a message to teenagers that partying is not safe for them during the current coronavirus pandemic.

Reynolds, who was born in Vancouver, has now responded to this call-to-action with a voice message on his social media channels where he also points out the potentially fatal outcomes of the irresponsible behavior – which could include hurting the likes of environmental activist David Suzuki and Reynolds’ own “insatiable” mother.

He even throws in a reference to his wife Blake Lively’s old series “Gossip Girl”. Check out the message below:

That’s not all though. Even though the “Shazam” sequel has yet to begin production, reviews for the film are already popping up on film-focused social network Letterboxd.

Some are just eager fans, some pure trolls, all are a little nutty. Now the film’s director David F. Sandberg has shared a spoof trailer for the movie which he cooked up with the help of pull quotes from some of those very early reviews.

The actual “Shazam 2” is currently targeting a November 4th 2022 release. Sandberg and star Zachary Levi are expected to be on hand at the DC FanDome virtual event next weekend to connect with fans.
