“Deadpool” star Ryan Reynolds has revealed that his production company Maximum Effort is developing a documentary about the life of the late famed Canadian comedian John Candy who died in 1994 at the age of 43.
Candy broke through in Ron Howard’s “Splash” and was in high demand in the 80s and 90s with films like “Stripes,” “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” “Cool Runnings,” “Uncle Buck,” “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” “Spaceballs,” “Brewster’s Millions,” “Who’s Harry Crumb?,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “The Great Outdoors,” “Armed and Dangerous,” “Only the Lonely,” “Home Alone,” and “JFK”.
Colin Hanks is also onboard the project with Reynolds warning fans to “expect tears” with the film. Reynolds previously produced the documentary “The Whale” while Hanks is producing an upcoming documentary around Michael Jackson’s “Thriller”.
