Rutger Hauer has scored the lead role in the gritty genre film “Hobo with a Shotgun” reports AICN.
Nova Scotian filmmakers Jason Eisener, John Davies, and Rob Cotterill created the original ‘Hobo’ R-rated fake trailer which won a high-profile online competition related to 2007’s “Grindhouse” and the SXSW Film Festival.
That two-minute trailer essentially lived up to its title – a pissed off hobo (David Brunt) went around dealing out vigilante justice with the aid of a shotgun. This feature film version kicks off filming in Halifax today.
