Russell Crowe Joins Sony & Marvel’s “Kraven”

Russell Crowe has joined the cast of the “Kraven the Hunter” movie at Sony Pictures and Marvel according to THR.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson signed a multi-picture deal to star in the feature based on the famed Spider-Man villain and Russian big-game hunter character.

Plot details are under wraps, however many of the main characters are said to be Kraven’s family members. This will mark Crowe’s second Marvel character following his part as Zeus in Taika Waititi’s “Thor: Love and Thunder”.

J.C. Chandor is directing the film from a screenplay by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Richard Wenk. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are producing. The film is slated for a January 13th 2023 release.

The news comes as Sony’s Marvel films continue building out with Dakota Johnson recently attached to star in a “Madame Web” movie, to the upcoming release of “Morbius” in April with Jared Leto sharing a new poster for that which you can see below.
