Numerous film reporters across several outlets have all claimed that actor Tom Holland has allegedly signed a deal with Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures to return as Spider-Man for multiple new films.
According to said reports, which are a long way from official at present, the deal not only includes a new “Spider-Man” trilogy but appearances in two or three other projects – likely the two upcoming “Avengers” films.
Outlets such as The Express, The Direct, HypeBeast, Murphy’s Multiverse, KoiMoi.com all carried the story, along with notable Twitter film accounts like Alex Perez from The Cosmic Circus, @SpideyUpdated, @Culture_Spider.
The recent report has been swirling since yesterday afternoon. None of the trades or more major outlets has picked it up as yet, and there is no official statement at the time of this article’s writing. For now, it remains very much just online speculation.
We do know in late 2021, Marvel’s Kevin Feige admitted that he and Amy Pascal had already begun developing the story for the fourth “Spider-Man” film. More recently at Comic-Con, Feige said Holland’s Spider-Man and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil were “going to lead the way as street-level heroes”.
