Ruben Fleischer (“Zombieland”) is attached to direct a feature film adaptation of the famed police reality procedural series “COPS” at Boies/Schiller Film Group and The District.
Cameron Fay will write the script which will turn the series into “an edgy narrative feature with a buddy comedy bent on the order of a Lethal Weapon.”
Fleischer, John Langley and David Bernad will produce. Whether the show’s iconic theme song will make it into the film version is unclear.
