Roku Picks Up TBS’ Abruptly Scrapped “Chad”

TBS

Earlier this year, TBS suddenly and unexpected cancelled Nasim Pedrad’s comedy series “Chad” mere hours before the already completed second season was set to go to air.

Shortly after that, the first season was pulled from the network, leaving her show in limbo. Now it has found a new home at the Roku Channel who has picked up the second season to air exclusively along with landing the non-exclusive rights to stream the first season.

The series follows an Iranian-American teenage boy (played by Pedrad, a 40-year-old woman) through high school. Jake Ryan, Paul Chahidi, Saba Homayoon, Ella Mika, Alexa Loo, Thomas Barbusca and Sara Malal Rowe also star.
