Roku will reportedly add 23 more titles from the Quibi library to the Roku Channel this coming Friday, including four series that never got the chance to air on Quibi before the shortform video app shuttered in late 2020.
Transferring over are the likes of Emmy-nominated “Mapleworth Murders,” the Reese Witherspoon–narrated nature series “Fierce Queens,” the Idris Elba led car stunt series “Elba vs. Block,” and the well-regarded thriller “Survive” starring Sophie Turner and Corey Hawkins.
The new series include the cleaning competition show “Squeaky Clean” hosted by Leslie Jordan, the “is it real or is it made out of cake” competition series “Eye Candy” hosted by Josh Groban, a second season of the Jennifer Lopez-produced “Thanks a Million,” and the ten-part docoseries “Happens in Hollywood” directed by Marina Zenovich.
Roku acquired 75 shortform shows from Quibi in January and released the first batch of 30 shows to the Roku Channel in May – rebranding them as Roku Originals.
Since launch, Roku Originals have made up all five of the top TV programs streamed by active accounts on the Roku Channel.
